Pastore, located on the doorstep of Hotel Chadstone, is the newest venue for the celebrated Pickett and Co restaurant group. Pastore – the Italian word for ‘shepherd’ – honours the area’s heritage as a pasture and orchard.
From small plates to full tasting experiences, the menu by Scott Pickett presents Italian cuisine with Australian references, with a focus on woodfire-fulled cooking and handmade pasta. Complementing the menu is a wine list of predominantly Italian varietals from local producers. An extensive cocktail menu combines Italian spirits and Australian botanicals, as well as signature Italian concoctions made with Australian aperitivos.
The dining room and bar feature a warm palette of dusty pink, brass details, natural stone, reeded glass and timber, creating a luxuriant yet comforting space to linger and lounge.
